The bad news is that neither mode is available by default. The Dominator can be modified to function as either a rifle or a shotgun, with the first variant being usually superior. ![]() The AoE attack is infinitely chargeable, meaning you can completely run out of Energy after only one or two shots if you’re not careful. The fact that it’s an Energy weapon means it suffers from some of the same drawbacks as the Railgun, although you can fire the Dominator for much longer before you run out of juice, provided you use the AoE attack conservatively. On the other hand, it feels very clunky to wield and doesn’t support aiming down sights. On the one hand, it’s a surprisingly versatile weapon with one of the best special attacks in the game. The Dominator is a pretty difficult weapon to rank. These upgrades are pretty basic but still welcome additions to an already solid weapon. Special attack aside, the Pashtet can also be upgraded with two special mods from Testing Ground 9 and Testing Ground 12, respectively. The kicker here is that the ranged attack does even more damage than the melee one, although it does consume Energy. It’s only when you switch to the secondary special attack by installing the Magnetic Field Generator that you’ll start seeing this weapon’s true potential. The weapon’s stats are decent enough, but it doesn’t do much to differentiate itself from the Fox in its base form. The Pashtet is a surprisingly good melee weapon that’s easy to overlook when you first encounter it.
